Understanding The Safety Of Surface America Surfacing.
When evaluating the safety of a playground there are a number of critical components to consider including the type of surface being installed. To evaluate the safest option for your project it's important to understand the differences between surfacing types and the scientific facts regarding the safety of recycled rubber.
- Base options include concrete, asphalt or crushed stone
- Fully adhered plus side-to-side bonding, or side-to-side bonding only
- For rooftops, side-to-side bonding to all adjacent tiles and perimeter border
- Flush, beveled or accessory pieces edge details
Proper drainage is critical to the longevity of the PlayBound Tile surfacing system. Inadequate drainage will cause premature breakdown of the poured material in affected areas; and void the warranty.
